What Is a Brake Rotors?

Brake Rotors are round metal plates with holes on the surface, which are responsible for generating the friction needed to slow down your wheels and put your vehicle to a stop. Each brake disc goes on top of the wheel hub, secured in place by the threaded studs and caliper.

The friction surface can expand independently from the center section, and the rotor is better able to remain parallel to the brake pads and centered within the caliper, for effective braking and long pad life.
