One of the most common concerns on the 2014–2018 Ram 1500 / Ram 1500 Classic 3.0L EcoDiesel is the factory EGR cooler. The EGR system recirculates exhaust gas back into the intake system, while the EGR cooler lowers the temperature of that hot exhaust gas before it re-enters the engine.
Over time, high heat, pressure, and coolant circulation may cause the factory EGR cooler to crack, leak internally, or lose cooling efficiency. FCA previously recalled certain EcoDiesel models due to EGR cooler cracking, which could allow coolant to enter the EGR or intake system and create a combustion risk under specific conditions.
The SuncentAuto EGR Valve & Cooler Delete Kit is designed for 2014–2018 Dodge Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel and compatible Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L EcoDiesel models. It includes precision-fit block-off plates and coolant bypass components for off-road and competition-use EGR removal applications.

Helps eliminate the EGR valve, EGR cooler, and related piping from off-road or competition-use applications, reducing common issues such as cooler leaks, stuck EGR valves, and clogged passages.
Includes coolant hose, reducer, and clamps to reroute the coolant path after EGR cooler removal, helping maintain proper coolant connection integrity.
Stops carbon-rich exhaust gas from re-entering the intake path, helping keep the intake tract, intercooler piping, MAP sensor, and intake manifold cleaner.
Removing the EGR heat source may help reduce exhaust gas temperature and thermal load on the engine and turbocharger during off-road, towing, or high-load use.
With reduced intake restriction and proper ECU calibration, throttle response may improve and some owners report fuel economy gains of about 2–4 MPG.
The block-off plate includes a 1/8" NPT port for an optional boost gauge, allowing real-time intake pressure monitoring.

For 3.0L EcoDiesel vehicles used in long-distance driving, towing, heavy-load, high-temperature, off-road, or competition environments, aging EGR components can lead to expensive repairs. EGR cooler replacement can cost thousands of dollars, while EGR valves and intake components may require repeated cleaning due to soot and carbon buildup.
This delete kit removes the common EGR failure source in permitted applications, helping reduce future EGR-related maintenance, support cleaner intake airflow, lower heat exposure, and simplify the engine bay layout.

This is an EGR Valve & Cooler Delete hardware kit only. A tuner is not included.
After EGR removal, ECU calibration may be required. Without proper calibration, the ECU may detect EGR system changes, trigger diagnostic trouble codes, illuminate the Check Engine Light, or activate limp mode.
