Seat Cushion Shopping Choices

Bum and backside starting to ache because your old seat cushion is worn thin? Well, before you rush off and get a new one, read through this simple little guide. You're bound to find that a cushion isn't just a cushion, and you can even get a much better cushion than the one you have installed at the moment! Sounds good, doesn't it? Read on-your rump will thank us later.

It has to fit before anything else

Now, before you get all excited, the primary consideration that you have to take into account is whether or not the seat cushion you are getting will actually fit into the seat you have. This is a bit of a tough one as most seat covers and seats are very inflexible. You could, in theory, squeeze any amount of material into them-but that risks damaging your seat cover!

Make the most of your time behind the wheel with a comfortable and supportive car seat cushion. If you‘re like most people, you spend plenty of time driving to and from work, running errands, or sitting in traffic. The best car seat cushion can make your drive time more pleasant and less painfulespecially if you suffer from back, leg, or hip pain.

When shopping for a car seat cushion, consider the type of cushion you need. Different styles of car seat cushions, such as a wedge, lumbar, or full cushion, provide support in different ways. In addition, pay attention to the material used for the cover and cushion filling, since these will impact how breathable and comfortable the cushion is after extended use. You can also shop for features like a heated, cooled, or massaging car seat cushion. These extra options can elevate your commute but will mean that your cushion needs a power source to plug into.

Comforting convenience

The best thing about portable cushions is that they add an extra layer of comfort and even support for your back and behind. There are a staggering number of designs and materials to choose from, so we compiled only the most basic of choices:

Soft foam: This is what you could call your standard type of cushion. Essentially a beefier version of a sponge with a much stronger structure overall. The only trouble with soft foam is that the overall integrity degrades over time until it is flat and useless.

Inflatables: These are usually the most affordable of the lot. Because they can be deflated for quick transport, they are extremely lightweight and convenient as well. The only downside is that they are very vulnerable to damage. Any sharp objects will deflate them in a hurry.

Memory foam: This is top of the line in terms of cushioning and provides the very best in comfort and support. It has a highly unique cell structure that responds to your body's heat and weight-it then moulds itself to the contours of your body. That reduces the pressure points your body is normally subjected to. The downside is that it is way more expensive.

Seat Cushion Switching in Five Simple Steps!

Nothing is more directly related to overall driving comfort than a just-the-right-kind-of-snug seat cushion. When it starts to wear out, however, you immediately feel a touch uncomfortable. Normally, you'd have to go to a shop to have it changed out-this can be costly, given that they often re-upholster for you. Save a bit on the bucks and do the job yourself. It's easy when you have the right tools and all the steps that you need.

How do you install car seat cushions?

This depends on the specific design of the cushion you choose. Installing most car seat cushions is as simple as placing the cushion on the seat of your vehicle. Many simple car seat cushions have a pebbled, grippy underside to prevent the cushion from sliding during use. Lumbar or full car seat cushions will often have one or more straps that wrap around the car seat to secure the cushion and prevent it from shifting out of place.

How do you clean car seat cushions?

Regularly remove your car seat cushion. Shake it outside of your vehicle to dislodge any loose debris. Set aside. Clean the car seat where the cushion typically rests. Then, vacuum the car seat cushion itself. For cushions with removable and washable covers, periodically wash and dry the cushion cover according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Fast shipping and super smooth installation. Freed up so much restriction on my 2015 Chevy 3500HD. Sounds healthy, truck breathes much better, and mpg improved noticeably on the highway. Solid product from SuncentAuto!

Wanted to share a quick video of the pipes before I get them on. This is the T-409 stainless version, and as you can see, it looks great. Much better than the old aluminized pipes I had. It's a simple, straight-through design that should remove all the restriction. I can't wait to install it. If you're looking for a simple, budget-friendly option, watch the video to see the quality.

Got this 4-inch downpipe-back kit for my 12 GMC Sierra. The performance gain is night and day! Spool-up time is way faster, and my EGTs dropped significantly when hauling my heavy trailer. The T-409 stainless construction feels heavy-duty. Paired it with a proper tune and the truck runs smoother than ever. Highly recommend for any LML owner!

Couldn’t be happier with this downpipe. My cat got stolen more than once and I was done paying big bucks for another converter. This setup saved me cash and gave the car a way cooler sound.

This is hands down one of the best upgrades I've done for my '06 6.0L Powerstroke. With the exhaust restriction gone, the turbo spools up way faster, and the throttle response is significantly sharper. The best part is seeing a noticeable drop in my EGTs, which gives me peace of mind for engine longevity. I even noticed a slight bump in fuel economy on highway trips, maybe 3-4 MPG better.
