This SuncentAuto kit is designed for 2007.5–2010 Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra 2500HD / 3500HD pickups equipped with the 6.6L V8 LMM Duramax.
Compared with a standard EGR delete kit, it removes the factory EGR valve and EGR cooler while replacing the restrictive factory intake elbow with a high-flow intake structure. It helps reduce exhaust gas recirculation, carbon buildup, coolant leak risks, and intake restriction.
Replaces the factory cast elbow with EGR valve interface and removes the internal throttle plate. Made from 6061 aluminum, mandrel bent, CNC machined, and black painted.
6061 forged billet aluminum + stainless steel, CNC machined to seal the exhaust ports left after EGR cooler removal.
Includes dedicated hoses and fittings to reroute coolant flow after the cooler is removed.
Includes required gaskets, seals, and bolts for a complete installation.
Estimated install time: About 2 hours
Recommended: ECU tuning to eliminate fault lights and optimize engine parameters.
This is a more complete, performance-focused EGR delete solution for the 2007.5–2010 6.6L Duramax LMM.
| Comparison | Standard EGR System Delete | EGR Valve & Cooler Delete Kit with Intake Elbow |
|---|---|---|
| Delete Range | Deletes EGR valve and EGR cooler-related parts | Deletes EGR valve, EGR cooler, and replaces the intake elbow |
| Main Goal | Stops exhaust gas recirculation and reduces EGR failures | Stops EGR flow + optimizes the intake path |
| Intake Efficiency | ⚠️ Factory elbow + throttle plate remain | ✅ High-flow elbow removes the throttle plate; airflow improves by 35% |
| Carbon Control | Reduces soot entering the intake | Further reduces buildup points around the intake elbow |
| CEL / DTC | ECU tuning required | ECU tuning required |
| Power / Response | ↑ Some improvement | ↑↑ Stronger improvement: no EGR + no intake bottleneck |
| Recommendation | ★★★☆☆ Budget-priority solution | ★★★★★ Complete, performance-oriented solution |
Reduces risks of EGR valve sticking, EGR cooler leaks, intake carbon buildup, Check Engine Light / DTC, slower throttle response, and heat load under towing or heavy use.
The high-flow elbow replaces the restrictive factory intake connection, giving the 6.6L LMM Duramax a cleaner, more direct airflow path.
Potential savings can reach about $8,258.72 over 300,000 miles, from about 5% MPG improvement, 4.76% fuel efficiency improvement, reduced EGR cleaning, and avoided EGR replacement costs.
This is not just a block-off kit. It combines EGR delete, coolant bypass, and high-flow intake elbow upgrades for reliability and intake efficiency.
ECU tuning is required. Without ECU tuning, the ECM may detect abnormal EGR valve position and flow, trigger the Check Engine Light, or enter torque-limiting protection mode.
Mini Maxx Tuner V2: Handheld all-in-one device with preset delete programs; plug-and-play for DIY users.
EZ Lynk Tuner: Cloud-based tuning platform with phone monitoring and professional remote tuning.
For advanced protection, consider pairing with a CCV reroute kit. After EGR removal, oil vapor from the factory crankcase ventilation system may still leave an oil film in the intercooler and intake piping. A CCV reroute kit can vent this oil vapor away from the intake path in race/off-road use.
